Almost 6 months ago I won myself the loser's cups. 2nd placing in club level international speech contest and 3rd for club level table topics contest. It wasn't much, but I tried my best for the first time with minimal tactics. Here's the cups.
Yesterday night I got myself another two beer glasses. One's a loser's cup, the other's a winner's cup (finally!). Got 3rd place for evaluation contest and 1st for humourous speech contest. That means I'm qualified for round 2, the area contest next week.
Personally, I'm those kind of person who talks more before the contest starts. After the contest, I usually turn myself to silent mode whether I win or lose. Taunting people to go all out to beat me is actually my hobby, I don't like people to go easy on me (of course I don't do that to everyone since not everyone can take it!). When I won, I don't really feel much, I don't go around telling people "Hahaha! Your arse is mine, loser!" Instead, I feel that they have entrusted their hope onto me. For my subsequent rounds, I'm no longer fighting only for myself but for those I had defeated.
For last night's contest, I was feeling the pain. I can't really feel normal with my gum stitched onto my cheek. It hurts and it's very tiring for my jaw, it feels like this jaw doesnt really belongs to me...Fortunately, I managed to last it out while holding the pain. From last night, I know that I will not win in the next round unless I do some changes.
1) More gestures, I need to be more animated
2) Changes on content, since a few of my lines got bombed
3) More Pauses, I feel that I was rushing through since I was a little nervous
with some improvements, the next trohpy belongs to me! =D

sigh now he has a trophy to go along with his mouth! (we gona hear all about it tomorrow huh?)
well.. i'll be quiet from now on becoz i know there's a trophy mouth waiting to beat all of it's opponent - young, old, ugly, sexy, and the uncle.

we would be spared tomorrow methinks, the gums should be still in pain and that after all the speeches to win, even the teeth would be exhausted.
and, ya, we ought to be either very quiet tomorrow, or laser-ready tomorrow, you know me, i can laser people kau-kau one, if i can get over my shyness lah :p

ouch you did that well still feeling the pain of wisdom teeth removal! now that is a great job and to be everything you need to be as well as to speak clearly you deserve them mugs to be full of beer!
Knowing you the next round you are going to be more then ready speech problems will be fixed pauses will be added and even if you are still in enormous amount of pain you will be smiling, as if you are perfectly fine! Hopefully the pain goes away very fast and you mop the floor with the competition!
