The "Are We There Yet?" Trip: Part I

I'm finally back after 4 days of trip in Sabah, Borneo(couldn't get myself to blog straightaway, it's like the mood just isn't there). The trip to conquer Southeast Asia's highest mountain was finally over with muscle aches all over my legs. Here I am again, infront of my computer blogging! I shall start right from day one!




Have to wake up at around 6.30am to get a cab to the airport. It was a great morning, superb for photography I would say. Took almost an hour to reach the airport, great for overtime sleep!


The bad part starts when you are done with your luggage and boarding pass. The waiting is kinda frustrating, I mean why must everyone wait for an hour or two just for the plane. I heard they will close the counter 1 hour before the flight, what's that for? So the airport can look more crowded? Luckily this low cost terminal is empty enough unlike the national airport.

After a few hours of waiting, it's finally time! Can't expect much since I'm on a budget flight(airasia), the leg rooms are very limited and there's no leaning back for the seats.

Something came across my mind though after looking at the souvenir menu. They are actually selling neck pillow with ear plugs! What's the ear plugs for? Who's gonna bring their mp3 player without the ear plugs. Luckily they remembered to put "iPod not included" or this thing will be selling like hotcakes!

The 2 and a half hour journey started with the scene of cotton candy-like clouds. Stay tune for Part II!
